This introductory class in electrical computer engineering is facilitated by Chattahoochee Technical College Instructor, Stephanie O’Donoghue.
Students will work with an Arduino kit and software for a real-time, hands-on experience. Thanks to its simple and accessible user experience, Arduino has been used in thousands of different projects and applications. The Arduino software is easy-to-use for beginners, yet flexible enough for advanced users. It runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Teachers and students use it to build low-cost scientific instruments, to prove chemistry and physics principles, or to get started with programming and robotics.
* Class size is limited to 15 students.
*Students must have a computer, webcam, and able to download the corresponding software.
* GEAR UP will mail class materials directly to the students and may not have time to send them to another student if you cancel. Please be 100% sure you can participate before you complete this registration.

Join GEAR UP Georgia and the Princeton Review for a step-by-step demonstration on how to log in and use your self-paced test prep account.
Students who receive a Princeton Review self-paced test prep account will have access to an online portal. This is the portal you will want to go to in order to launch your SAT and ACT self-paced packages. Each portal will have lessons, drills, and practice tests designed to help you get ready for your official SAT and ACT exams.
This quick webinar will provide a step-by-step demonstration on how to best utilize your account to increase test scores.
GEAR UP Georgia and Usher’s New Look (UNL) are joined by a common purpose of ensuring that students participating in the GEAR UP Leadership Academy virtual enrichment workshops over the course of the 2021-2022 school year, focused on leadership, spark (talent) development, financial literacy, career development, and college readiness.
The bi-weekly, hour and a half long sessions will take place on Tuesday’s at 6pm, twice a month. The GEAR UP Leadership Academy youth are dynamic high schoolers from
various counties in Georgia.
