April is Financial Literacy Month! Join us as we share different resources for our GEAR UP Georgia students to reduce student loan debt as you make plans to pay for your college education.
Goals of the event:
An in-depth course of 6 classes with a Princeton Review Instructor, 3 practice tests, and one-year access to a self-paced account to prepare for the May 8 SAT exam.
Class Dates:
GEAR UP Georgia and Usher’s New Look (UNL) are joined by a common purpose of ensuring that students participating in the GEAR UP Leadership Academy virtual enrichment workshops over the course of the 2021-2022 school year, focused on leadership, spark (talent) development, financial literacy, career development, and college readiness.
The bi-weekly, hour and a half long sessions will take place on Tuesday’s at 6pm, twice a month. The GEAR UP Leadership Academy youth are dynamic high schoolers from
various counties in Georgia.

During this webinar, you will learn about the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) and the HOPE Program, including eligibility requirements, the application process, and award amounts. These students’ scenarios replicate real student challenges and are used to help participants better understand Georgia’s HOPE Program.
