Probe is an annual program of college fairs and guidance counselor workshops that are held throughout the state of Georgia. The program is managed by the Georgia Education Articulation Committee (GEAC), whose sole mission is to disseminate information and stimulate interest in post-secondary education for students in Georgia. Hundreds of colleges from across the nation attend Probe each year to reach thousands of Georgia high school juniors and seniors.

Students and parents will crunch the college cost of their top school choices and identify funding gaps. They will also complete an intentional scholarship search specific to their needs and identify those awards that they are eligible to receive.

Join GEAR UP Georgia and Usher’s New Look as we get in the know and “lit” about FAFSA completion and the FAFSA kickoff date. This is a family event focused on financial literacy empowerment. UNL has been able to build out an incredible program that goes beyond the classroom and gives our students real-life exposure to consumer banking, credit protection, entrepreneurial opportunities, investment strategies, and post-secondary education options. The purpose: Provide students with the tools that are necessary for our students to take responsibility for their financial futures.

Join GEAR UP Georgia and the Central Georgia Technical College Cosmetology program. Learn how to use federal and state financial aid grants to help pay for school in cosmetology. Students will receive hands-on cosmetology instruction in color theory and up-do techniques.
Join the GEAR UP Georgia staff and partners on a virtual college visit from our YouVisit Link.
Students make sure to post pictures on social media representing your future college. Students can pose with gear on from their chosen college or use the “My future college” printout.

Connect with your GEAR UP peers from high school and across the state to celebrate surviving and thriving in your first month of college. Virtual students will receive a Grubhub lunch credit and Southern Regional Technical Students that attend in person - we’re bringing the lunch to you. While you eat, learn what resources GEAR UP Georgia has for first-year college freshmen and what to do to prepare for mid-terms and the FAFSA renewal.
Exciting GEAR UP Georgia National GEAR UP Week Event

Join GEAR UP Georgia as we go behind the scenes of the world-class facility and experience Mercedes-Benz Stadium like never before. Mercedes-Benz Stadium has partnered with Big Thought to build out a STEAM-based curriculum that allows students to use tools and lessons provided during the presentation to learn more about the complex architecture, technology, art, and science interwoven at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
This event has limited seating (40 GEAR UP Georgia students). First-come, first-serve basis. Students that participate in the Virtual Tour webinar will receive a ticket to the Atlanta Falcons home game on October 3, 2021, vs Washington. Proclaim your love for GEAR UP by posting a picture in your favorite GEAR UP or college gear. Join GEAR UP Georgia students from across the state in a family-friendly event sponsored by Usher's New Look. High school students will learn about the UNL Leadership Academy and college students will be introduced to the Moguls in Training program. Be prepared to laugh, dance, and have fun while preparing for college success!
In these workshops, we will cover various elements of college & career planning along with some essential life skills.
GEAR UP Georgia students attending will be provided GrubHub credit towards dinner during the event. Must register for the event one day prior and attend the event to receive Grubhub credit.

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to 300 of these student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.
