Better Business Bureau Serving Metro Atlanta, Athens & NE Georgia awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing within our service area and who have demonstrated outstanding character, leadership, and integrity. Students applying for the 2022 Student of Integrity Scholarship complete their application no later than 11:55 pm (EST) on February 28, 2022. Applications and the video portal automatically close. To be eligible for this award, students must graduate in 2022 and reside in our 47 county service area. Those counties include: Banks, Barrow, Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Cherokee, Clarke, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas, Elbert, Fayette, Forsyth, Franklin, Fulton, Gwinnett, Habersham, Hall, Haralson, Hart, Heard, Henry, Jackson, Jasper, Lamar, Lumpkin, Madison, Meriwether, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Paulding, Pickens, Pike, Polk, Rabun, Rockdale, Spalding, Stephens, Towns, Union, Walton and White.
Winners will be selected by independent judges chosen by BBB. Judges will select scholarship recipients based on their leadership, contributions to their communities and schools, personal integrity, and video recommendation. Decisions of the judges are final. Selected students will receive scholarships valued between $1,000 and $5,000.
Eligible students need to complete the online application form, record their video entry, and have a recommendation video recorded by a teacher, school official, church official, community leader, employer, etc. (no family members, please.)

Saturday, February 19th GEAR UP Georgia is hosting a FAFSA Completion Drive-In. As we know, Filing a FAFSA is the single most important thing our students can do to get money for college. It's the gateway to more than $150 billion in college grants, work-study funds, and federal student loans, as well as certain state-based aid. Please continue to encourage students and parents to register!!!
In addition, there will be giveaways and food available for all GEAR UP Georgia students and Parents along with a Book Scholarship for $250.

Our mission at Usher's New Look is to build passion-driven, global leaders - or as we call them, Disruptivators! Disruptivators have the power to change the world and the I Can't But You Can campaign will help them do so.

HSF Scholarship Application Deadline February 15
As an HSF Scholar, you will have access to HSF’s invaluable Scholar Support Services and be eligible to receive a scholarship, depending on available funds.
Scholars are selected based on merit. Award amounts range from $500 - $5,000, based on relative need.
GEAR UP Georgia and Usher’s New Look (UNL) are joined by a common purpose of ensuring that students participating in the GEAR UP Leadership Academy virtual enrichment workshops over the course of the 2021-2022 school year, focused on leadership, spark (talent) development, financial literacy, career development, and college readiness.
The bi-weekly, hour and a half long sessions will take place on Tuesday’s at 6pm, twice a month. The GEAR UP Leadership Academy youth are dynamic high schoolers from
various counties in Georgia.

Usher’s New Look and GEAR UP Georgia partnered to offer GEAR UP Ambassadors monthly enrichment workshops over the course of the 2021-2022 school year focused on leadership, community building, personal and professional development, and mental health awareness. The Ambassadors will have access to the GEAR UP Leadership Academy sessions and other UNL offerings including First Friday Scholarship Check-Ins, Spark Days, and more.
Monthly hour-long sessions will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and optional virtual check-ins for the remainder of the month.
Dates: All sessions are from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
